Setting new standards for Sample Size, Speed and Accuracy of Spectrophotometers

The NanoPhotometer Pearl combines ultra low (0.3µl) and standard volume cuvette applications for improved concentration measurement and purity analysis in one UV/Vis spectrophotometer. The NanoPhotometer Pearl is a maintenance free and standalone device with flexible data output options, bringing portability, convenience, and speed to UV/Vis spectrophotometry. Applications are limitless with full scanning (200-950nm), superior sample stability, and programmable methods to suit your needs.

Applications:

Nucleic acids:
dsDNA, ssDNA, RNA, and Oligonucleotides

Proteins:
Protein UV (A280), Protein Dye, Bradford, Lowry, BCA, Biuret

Cell density:
for bacterial cell cultures

General Functions:
Specified wavelengths, wavescan, kinetics, standard curve

How it works

Patented* submicroliter cell technology for 0.3 ul analysis is only available with the NanoPhotometer Pearl and allows most reliable small volume analysis of nucleic acid or protein samples. Sample volumes starting from 0.3μl are pipetted onto the center of the submicroliter cell and a dilution lid is placed on top.

The dilution lids provide automatic dilutions of 5x, 10x, 50x, 100x or 250x by varying the distance the light travels (pathlength). Since the sample is completely enclosed, there is no reliance on sample surface tension or evaporation. The pathlength is fixed on each lid so the accurate result in small volume is provided during the entire life-time of the equipment. In addition, recalibration or maintenance is never required. For standard volume analysis, simply remove the submicroliter cell and use your plastic or quartz cuvettes.
